The characters that upgrade your equations
Writing 3×4≠13 with the real multiplication sign (×, not the letter x) and the real not-equal (≠) makes text-message math unambiguous. The typographic fractions ½ ¾ ⅔ are single characters that stay readable at any size — cleaner than 1/2 in recipes and measurements. Superscripts ² ³ handle areas and volumes (m², cm³) without any formatting, and √ followed by parentheses covers roots: √(x²+y²).
Reading the fancier rows
The set symbols say precise things: x ∈ A ("x is in A"), A ⊂ B ("A is contained in B"), A ∪ B and A ∩ B (union, intersection), ∅ (the empty set). ∀ and ∃ are "for all" and "there exists." From calculus: ∑ sums a series, ∏ multiplies one, ∫ integrates, ∂ takes partial derivatives, and ∞ needs no introduction. Copy freely — precision is contagious.

How do I write squared (²) without formatting?
Use the superscript characters: ² (Alt+0178 on Windows) and ³ (Alt+0179). They're real characters, so m² survives in filenames, chats, and spreadsheets where superscript formatting doesn't exist.
What's the difference between ≈ ≅ and ≡?
≈ is 'approximately equal' (numerics), ≅ is 'congruent/isomorphic' (geometry and algebra), ≡ is 'identically equal' or 'defined as' (identities, modular arithmetic). Casual writing mostly needs ≈.
Is π available as a text character?
